Asphalt Driveway Sealcoating
Our core Winnipeg service: crack filling, edge cutting, and a full sealer application on residential asphalt driveways.
How our sealcoating process worksServing the City of Winnipeg
Asphalt driveways are common throughout Winnipeg, although driveway materials and conditions vary significantly by neighbourhood. The city's clay soil and a full freeze-thaw cycle every spring put real pressure on asphalt surfaces, which is why cracking, fading and edge damage are such familiar problems here.
Local overview
We serve the whole city — from the older, narrower driveways in River Heights, St. Boniface and Elmwood to the wide double drives in newer developments like Sage Creek, Bridgwater and Waverley West. Older asphalt generally needs crack filling and edge attention before any sealer goes down, while newer subdivision driveways are often candidates for a straightforward first-time seal.
Most standard residential driveways are completed in 3–6 hours. We confirm timing and scope with you at the free on-site quote rather than over the phone.
What we do here
Our core Winnipeg service: crack filling, edge cutting, and a full sealer application on residential asphalt driveways.
How our sealcoating process worksLess common inside the Perimeter, but we do grade gravel back lanes, parking pads and rear-yard drives in older parts of the city.
How our gravel grading process worksOn the ground
Winnipeg's heavy clay swells when it's wet and shrinks when it's dry. That movement shows up as long cracks running down the length of a driveway, usually widening a little every spring. Filling them before sealing is the part that actually extends the surface's life.
South- and west-facing driveways lose their black finish first. By year five or six they're pale grey and the aggregate is starting to show at the surface — the point where sealing makes the biggest visual difference.
The city apron at the sidewalk and the unsupported outer edges take the worst of the plow, road salt and vehicle turning. We cut these back clean before sealing so the finished edge is a defined line, not a ragged fade into the grass.
Very common on driveways where a vehicle sits in the same spot for years. Heavy oil spots have to be cleaned and primed or the sealer won't bond, and we'll tell you honestly at the quote if a stain is too saturated to hold.
Pricing
Standard Winnipeg pricing with no travel surcharge: $0.45/sq ft for recently sealed driveways, $0.50–$0.70/sq ft for first-time seals, $1.50/linear ft for crack filling, and a $399 job minimum. A typical single-car Winnipeg driveway of 500–700 sq ft lands near the minimum; a double drive is usually more.
Neighbour pricing may be available when multiple nearby properties book for the same service day. Any discount will be confirmed in the individual quote.
